WS Pro\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur design priority with WS Light is to limit weight without compromising the service life, waterproofness and functionality.\u003cbr\u003eThe Taslan polyamide shell fabric is same we have been used for more than 20 years. The outer fabric is coated with our System Fabric membrane making it 100% Guaranteed waterproof and breathable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSo how did it get lighter:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFirstly by using a much lighter fabric on places where the heavier exterior is not essential. Places like: Pockets, hood and collar.\u003cbr\u003eSecondly by limiting the use of pleats and ”layer upon layer”.\u003cbr\u003eWithout compromising waterproofness and durability WS Light weighs 20% less than the two other short jacket family members.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn order to balance expectations we feel it is also important to mention the compromise that comes with lightness. It can be limited to one thing:\u003cbr\u003eThe pocket design. WS Light is not the perfect match if you are insisting on huge layers of storage. To get the most out of lightness - you need to adjust with a similarly light and suitable content.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThese are the thoughts - a word from the designer:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAbove all, WS Light feels light and hardly restricts my freedom of movement.\u003cbr\u003eIt’s the closest I get to the lightness I normally only experience with a light rain jacket.\u003cbr\u003eIn order to stay light and utilize the jacket’s full potential, I have adapt with the Geoff Anderson WizTool magnets and tools as well as a narrow and proportioned storage.
